Day 1: Introduction to Kazakhstan
Welcome to Almaty, Kazakhstan’s cultural and economic hub! Upon arrival, meet your guide at the airport for a warm Kazakh welcome and transfer to your 4-star hotel in the city center. Begin your journey with a visit to Medeo, the world’s highest-altitude ice skating rink, nestled in picturesque mountains. From there, take a breathtaking cable car ride to Shymbulak mountain resort, offering stunning views of Almaty and the surrounding peaks. Return to the city to stroll through Panfilov Park and visit the beautiful Zenkov Cathedral, one of the few wooden Orthodox cathedrals in the world.

Day 2: The Wonders of Nature: Lake Tuzkol and Tekes Waterfall
Start the day early with a scenic drive into the heart of nature. Visit the mesmerizing Tekes Waterfalls, where cascading waters create a tranquil escape. Enjoy some free time to capture photos and soak in the serene atmosphere. Later, arrive at Lake Tuzkol, a salt lake reflecting the majestic Khan Tengri Peak. Set up camp, enjoy a dinner by the fire, and sleep under the stars in tents.

Day 3: Sunrise Over Khan Tengri and Shalkode Valley
Wake up early to witness a spectacular sunrise over Khan Tengri, the highest peak in the Tian Shan mountains. After breakfast, explore the stunning Shalkode Valley, known for its pristine river and lush landscapes. Return to Tuzkol Lake for another night of camping under the vast Kazakh sky.

Day 4: Kaindy Lake and Kolsay Lakes
Depart from Tuzkol Lake and journey to Kaindy Lake, famed for its submerged forest and crystal-clear waters. Continue to Kolsay Lake, often called the “Pearls of the Tien Shan.” Check into your hotel near Kolsay Lake and unwind with a delicious dinner and free time.

Day 5: Hiking the Kolsay Lakes
Embark on a hike to the second Kolsay Lake, nestled high in the mountains, surrounded by dense forests and wildflowers. After lunch, enjoy optional activities like horseback riding or a boat ride on the first Kolsay Lake. Spend the evening savoring dinner and relaxing at your hotel.

Day 6: Charyn Canyon Adventure
Explore Charyn Canyon, often compared to the Grand Canyon for its dramatic rock formations. Visit iconic sites such as Moon Canyon, the Volcanic Cliff, and Napoleon Canyon. Enjoy a hike through the canyon and stay overnight in cozy cabins, surrounded by the canyon’s rugged beauty.

Day 7: Ethnic Village and Issyk Lake
Visit Issyk Lake, a stunning alpine lake surrounded by towering mountains. Learn about Kazakhstan’s rich history at the Golden Man Museum. In the afternoon, experience traditional Kazakh culture at an ethnic village, featuring local crafts and performances. Conclude the day with a dinner and overnight stay in a traditional yurt.

Day 8: Ayusai National Park and Big Almaty Lake
Explore Ayusai National Park, a haven for nature lovers. Visit Big Almaty Lake, known for its turquoise waters and panoramic views. Return to Ayusai for a relaxing walk through the valley and a visit to a cascading waterfall. Spend the evening in a charming cottage.

Day 9: Farewell to Almaty
Hike along the serene Japanese Trail, offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. Return to Almaty, lunch in local restaurant  free time to  explore  the city  before your transfer to the airport upon your flight schedule. Depart with unforgettable memories of Kazakhstan’s natural wonders and cultural treasures.

    • Down jacket, all-season sleeping bag, duffel bag and trekking map(in case if you don’t have your own. Down jacket, sleeping bag and duffel bag must be returned after completion of the trip)
    • First Aid Medical Kit(Your guide will carry the Medical Kit but we also advise to bring yourself for your own use, as far as possible)
    • All the required permits and paperwork
